TEAM SELECTION CRITERIA

1) ATTITUDE
2) CONDITIONING
3) SKILLS
4) COMMITMENT

1) We view attitude as the most important part of an athlete. We are looking for positive people who are willing to work for the greater good of the team.
2) Conditioning: It is crucial that you come to tryouts in shape and ready to run. We have several timed runs during the first week and throughout the season. We will run a variety of distances- mile, two mile, 800, 400, and shorter endurance sprints. To prevent injury you need to be running for several weeks before tryouts.
3) Skills: Sharpen your skills by attending a clinic and daily wall ball. Practice both your right and left hands, catching, passing and groundballs.
4) Season Commitment: If you make the team you are expected to attend every practice, game and team activity (including Spring Break & Saturday practices). We practice everyday and have games once or twice a week. We will have several team functions- team dinners, college games, fundraisers and other fun events. As girls’ lacrosse team members, you make a commitment not to drink, smoke or do any other kind of drug. This commitment not to participate in these activities is the foundation of our program. If you cannot make this pledge, do not tryout.

Team commitment is our priority. We want to emphasize how important it is to hustle & improve everyday and have a positive attitude. We want to work with girls who are hard-working, ready to learn and are dedicated to their teammates. A team is made up of many individuals who are striving for one common goal: team unity.
