Helen Roberts is a graduate of Dickinson College, where she played basketball for four years. She was a two-year team captain, as well as starting point guard for the Red Devils. The lefty led her team in scoring her junior and senior seasons. Helen set Dickinson College records for most 3-pointers in a season (78), most 3-pointers in a career (169), and highest 3-point shooting percentage in a season (47.4%). She led the Red Devils to their first post-season tournament appearance in 6 years and was the first Dickinson player in 10 years to be selected First Team All-Centennial Conference. She ended the 2016-2017 season ranked 11th in the U.S. for 3-pointers made per game (averaged 3 per game). 

This past year, Helen was an assistant coach at The College of New Jersey under first-year Head Coach Chessie Jackson. The Lions posted a record of 22-7, and advanced to the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship game, as well as the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. 

Helen played basketball at Oakton High School from 2009-2013. She played on the Freshman, JV, and Varsity teams, including the undefeated 2011-2012 Virginia State Championship team.
