Coach Vasili Ikonomidis - 2010 Assistant Varsity Coach; 8th Year Oakton, 8th year Fairfax County
Prior to coaching the with the Varsity program at Oakton, Coach V spent 3 years coaching the Freshmen team, as well as Outsiders' Juniors 18-1 team in 2003.
Coach Ikonomidis played club volleyball at York College of Pennsylvania from 1998-2001, serving as team President from 1999-2001. In 2000, York won their division and in 2001, he was selected to the All-Conference team as an Opposite. After college, he played Opposite for the Outsiders BB when they won the regular season points title for the Chesapeake Region in 2002. Since then, he is still active as player, having played for various USAV-A teams as an Opposite.
He is USAV-IMPACT certified.
