Coach Kristen Byler - 2008 Assistant Varsity Coach; 1st Year Oakton, 1st year Fairfax County

After a great four-year career at George Mason University where she played DS/Libero, Coach Byler joins the Cougar Staff in 2008 as a Varsity Assistant.

Coach Byler played four seasons of volleyball at Floyd County High School.  Was a first-team All-District (Three Rivers District) three times and was the District Player of the Year as a senior.  She was first-team All-Region (Virginia Region C) as a sophomore and senior and was All-State Honorable Mention as a senior.

At George Mason, she played in over 288 games during her career, leading the team in Digs her Junior season with 306 and again her Senior season with 367.

In 2008, Coach Byler began her coaching career serving as an Assistant Coach for the NVVA Select 17s team.
