Early Lead For Independence Seals Fate For Oakton Cougars Varsity

• Oakton Cougars Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-1 loss to Independence on Friday. Independence scored on a home run by D. Mendez in the first inning, a error during J. Hand's at bat in the second inning, and a single by A. McDonald in the second inning.
• The Oakton Cougars Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Independence, giving up ten runs.
