Alana Peters was the starting pitcher.  Allowing one unearned run in the first, the Cougars held tight, and Peters pitched a no hit second inning.  In the third, the Hornets came to life, adding three more runs (1-4).  In the fourth, Becky Cerva came to the mound to close the six-inning game with no additional hits or runs. 

Kudos to the Lady Cougars who were swinging their bats and getting on base!  Entering the fifth inning with only one run, Oakton tallied an additional 10, followed by 6 more in the sixth and final inning (10 run mercy rule), for a final score of 17-4.
