The Cougars traveled to Chantilly to continue the game started on 4/27, which was interrupted with thunder showers.

With Allison Davis still on recovering, Alana Peters was the pitcher on 4/27.  The game was called for lightening in the top of the second with a score of 0-0.  When the game resumed, Hayley French went to the mound.  The Chargers were making good contact, and racked up 8 hits, scoring 5 runs.  French struck out the last batter to end the inning.  In the fourth, following a Charger hit and a reach on error, Becky Cerva came in to close the game.  Two hits, a reach on error, and 2 walks contributed to an additional 4 runs in the fourth inning.  With the score 1-9 entering the fifth and final inning, Chantilly came up swinging and managed to pound out a few singles, and with bases loaded, they smacked one to center for a double +2 RBI to end the game at 1-11.

In the third, Emily Corridon singled, grabbed 2^nd on their error, and then stole third.  Cerva’s RBI grounder plated Corridon for the Cougars’ only run of the game.  The Cougars had some contact, with a few reaching on error; but Oakton could not get into scoring position to add additional runs.
