The Lady Cougars traveled to Westfield to face the Lady Bulldogs for the semi-finals of the Concorde District Tournament. 

Oakton leadoff Emily Corridon did not disappoint, and singled on the second pitch of the game.  Emily Krisanda advanced her with a sacrifice bunt, and then Allison Davis singled to center.  With the single by Mandy Krage, bases were loaded.  Hayley French’s pop out RBI scored Corridon.  Becky Cerva reached on a walk, and with bases again loaded, and one remaining out, the three Cougars were left on base with no additional scoring opportunities.

The Cougars did not score in the next four innings.  In the sixth inning, leadoff Allison Davis singled to right, and was able to come home on Bulldog errors for the Cougars 2^nd and final run of the game.

There was a lot of Cougar bat contact, but the Bulldogs made some great plays with several great catches by infielders, outfielders, and a flawless double play by the short stop who snagged a hard line drive, tagged 2^nd, and tossed out the runner at 1^st.

Becky Cerva pitched the first two innings, Hayley French the next two, and Abby Mills the last two.  In the outfield, Allison Davis, Emily Corridon, and Mary Kate Mehegan were without errors, contributing to 9 of 18 outs.  A few costly Cougar infield errors resulted in Bulldog runners advancing and crossing the plate. 

With a final score of 7-2, Oakton and Westfield advance to Regional Play.
